Ash –

If you love our blog then you might love checking out some of my favorites. Matt will have to add some of his once he’s done hitting those silly summer books. Before anyone points any fingers, I fully admit that our blogroll is modeled after Kyla Roma’s (who you can check out below). The brown lonestar means we’ve met this blogger in real life. Also all of the blogs have links attached to them so just click away!

The Pioneer Woman

Okay, if you don’t know who the Pioneer Woman is, I don’t think we can be friends. I’m definitely kidding, but please go check out her site immediately! An obsession in the making. You’ll want her to be your new best friend or at least go play in her kitchen. The story of how she met Marlboro Man is adorable, her recipes are to die for, and she’s as funny as all get out. If you only choose one blog off this blogroll, please choose this one!

Style Me Pretty

This “blog” is all about weddings. Maybe not as helpful as The Knot, but boy are the pictures amazing! They often post several weddings a day, and each of them is simply breathtaking.

Kyla Roma

Welcome to “the daydreams of a Canadian prairie newlywed lady.” Be prepared for wonderful photos, DIY projects (such as her Four Little Pots), and stories involving her husband Mister and dogs Mal & Ash (who you’ll want to steal if you’re anything like me). Kyla is a doll. Her voice is sincere, and she’s more than happy to start up a conversation with you.

Unfortunately Matt’s aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer within the last year. This is her journey. She writes about everything from the groomers messing up the poodles’ haircut to losing her own hair. She was the first relative of Matt’s that I met and calls me Sweet Ashley. How could I not love her? We are so proud of how well she has done, especially considering she just finished her last major kemosabe!

Walking with Nora

Walking “…through sun, through rain, through life.” From St. Louis, Nora is a person who appreciates life and all it has to offer. Her posts read as though you are having a conversation with her. Needless to say, I think we’d be great friends if we lived in the same city. I’d certainly have to get her to teach me how to run properly.

Sugar and Love

Kristen was probably the first person to add us to her blogroll, and we love her for it. I’m pretty sure she and her fiancée should just leave Canada and come live in Texas. Her life favorites include photography, baking, and horses. Make sure to check her out.

Road to Anywhere

Jessica is actually just down the road at Texas A&M and happens to be one of Matt’s good friends from high school. She enjoys sharing her crazy dreams, her religious beliefs, and all things Aggie (feel free to boo at anytime – we only tease, Jessica!). If you’re curious what another college student from Texas sounds like, wander on over!

Roots and Rings

Chelsea is another Texas native. She writes about everything from her marriage (hence the “rings”) to her homeowner experiences (when they first moved in, there was a particularly nasty “root” backing up their toilet). Chelsea’s more recent posts tend to center around her pregnancy. As the older sister of one of Matt’s other good high school friends, you can imagine how happy we are for her. In fact, she just entered her third trimester so get excited people!

As Simple As That

Let me just say pure talent. Hannah Katy is fresh out of college and taking the world by storm. She writes about everything from holding hands with strangers to why our society shouldn’t say “sorry” quite so often. Her words are moving without ever being preachy. A must read for sure.

Craving Cupcakes

The second I read Angela had “a weakness for coffee” I knew we’d get along. Canadian, a nanny, a great family, loving boyfriend, and a passion for baking. What’s not to enjoy? Seriously she has some mean looking recipes. Blueberry coffee cake? Yes please. Then again she had me drooling just reading her blog name. It makes me crave cupcakes everyday!

Peanut Butter Fingers

If I had to choose one word to describe Julie, I’d have to say “active.” She is engaged, works, keeps fit (please read “makes the rest of us look bad by doing an intense workout pretty much every day”), eats well, and still finds the time to blog several times a day. I don’t know how she does it, but I’m hoping if I keep reading her blog it’ll eventually rub off on me.

Probably Tabitha

Tabitha is in her 20’s, married, and living in Santa Barbara. Her writing is cheery and very goal oriented, such as her many updates on her 101 in 1001 or her “Weigh-In Wednesdays.” She’s probably the only blogger I know who has mentioned “pooping” (and isn’t referring to a baby). If you’re looking for a laugh and a little inspiration, check her out.

The Baylor Guys

This one probably won’t mean much to you unless you go to Baylor. Several anonymous Baylor students write throughout the school year to talk about “roommate love stories” and “unprofound thoughts.” They’re absolutely hilarious though. I can’t wait to hear what they have to say in the fall.

For the record, if you didn’t make the list that doesn’t mean I never read you! It may just mean you haven’t updated your blog in awhile, and I’m not sure if you’re ever coming back. Or maybe you’ve never commented on our blog before, and I just haven’t run across you yet. Please do! After all, it seems like I’m checking out new blogs every day (and I wonder where my time goes?). Plus I get the feeling this page will need to be updated on a regular basis. But a girl has to get back to her homework/med school apps/internship/real life sometime! As it is, I need to go get a coffee ASAP…
